What Is TruSmile?
TruSmile is an orthodontic aligner that uses the latest digital scanning technology. It is designed to straighten teeth, move misaligned teeth, and correct malocclusions such as overbite and underbite. Like Invisalign, TruSmile delivers the same fantastic results but at a more affordable cost. The TruSmile process involves wearing a series of aligners that fit over your teeth. These gently move your teeth into the optimal position. Each aligner is made of clear, BPA-free plastic so it is safe and barely noticeable. They are also smooth and comfortable to wear so they will not irritate your gums or other soft tissues. Compared to traditional braces, this option is more convenient. The treatment and follow-up visits are much less invasive and take much less time, so you never have to worry about school, work, or other social situations.
Once the aligners are in your mouth, you will return to our surgery for the start of treatment. So that TrUSmile Team can monitor your progress, we will not give you the aligners all at once, but in subsets. To achieve the desired results, you will wear each set in a specific order. Each set will be worn for about two weeks, for a minimum of 20 hours a day, giving you the freedom to take them out to eat and clean your teeth. At the end of this period, you will start wearing the next aligner in the series and this process will gradually move your teeth and continue until the optimum alignment is achieved. After that, we will design, create, and prescribe.
Once our doctor reviews your 3D image, photos, and medical history, they will design, create, and prescribe aligners that fit your lifestyle. You can choose an aligner plan that works best for you and your lifestyle, either wearing them for 22 hours per day or 10 continuous hours at night.
3) After that, you can get your aligners and let your journey begin.
Once your custom aligners are created, we will ship them to you all at once. You can choose to have regular smile checks at our studios or virtual check-ins with our doctor.
